immerse yourself in arts & culture
Our traditional Halau invites you to get creative as you experience and explore the unique legacy of Hawaiian arts and crafts. Enjoy an exciting and highly interactive digital showcase of the most celebrated Hawaiian traditions. Don’t miss out because you might even get an opportunity to try and experience firsthand some of the traditional crafts yourself.
Children and adults are in for a delightful experience as they immerse themselves into the various arts and craft activities that have been celebrated in Hawaii for centuries.
Build a wa’a, make a lei or poi and learn the ukulele – our arts and culture area offers many fun activities for both children and adults to enjoy!
Adults might find it really fun and engaging to learn how to make a kukui nut and ti leaf lei or traditional poi. Or, they might participate in hula or ukulele lessons. If that’s not your thing, or if you prefer to go with a different vibe, then learn how to build a wa’a or be part of a culinary class where we cater to and welcome all skill levels.
Bring your little ones because they will absolutely love playing pala’ie while chanting ancient Hawaiian songs and ula maika.
These entertaining activities will have you engrossed in the depth and beauty of Hawaiian culture in no time and offer a great way to laze away the day. Each activity is done in a very mindful and respectable way, ensuring that traditional Hawaiian values are rightfully paid homage.
